BIG ANNOUNCEMENT | Let us introduce #RogersCottage - a funky new soon-to-open Guest House offering! A few months ago we had the opportunity to relocate and preserve another little historic downtown gem that was slated for demo. Since then we’ve had our heads down launching Guest House while managing this second renovation (it’s been one heck of a winter 😅). We can’t wait to share more details, partnerships, collaborations, and sneak peeks of the new space over the coming weeks as it takes shape and we get closer to launch. Stay tuned!

Peachy 🍑! A subtle, in-the-moment idea turned into one of our happiest design moves. . Meet our “Cozy Queen” guestroom # 5. To soften the extra-tall vaulted ceiling that expresses the actual roof form, we played with paint! The peach ceiling gives you a special something to look up for, then folds down to bring your perspective back to the human scale. . We’re scheming an installation for the ledge to the left... anyone have a clever proposal? . #ghcozyqueen 📷 @thelyonswood
Rise and shine. Frosted windows, tall mirrors, dusty-sage tile, mood-setting dimmers, and linen shower curtains complement our spacious light-filled washrooms.
We’re designers trained as modernists, but are loving this affair with historic preservation. . The new stair in our addition is crisp and light, making way for the daylight to spill down from the skylight above. . In contrast, the historic 1880’s stair whispers stories of the many steps taken on the original pine treads. . They share a dialogue now, under one roof. We love them both dearly. . New Years celebrations were VERY special this year - Nicole’s sister got married in downtown Raleigh on NYE and Guest House was our home base for family and friends! . Best wishes to all for a year filled with happiness, health, and most especially LOVE. . Congrats Lauren and Bryson - we love you. 💗
